Hotshot dispatch for CDL and non-CDL trucks

Whether you run a non-CDL setup or a CDL hotshot with a 40 ft gooseneck, we find time-sensitive and partial loads that pay, and we take care of the brokers and paperwork.

Non-CDL hotshot 24–40 ft 9,000–12,000 lbs $6,000–$7,000 $1.75–$2.00

What we handle for hotshots

On top of everything in our standard dispatch service, here's what matters most for your equipment.

  • Loads that match your weight rating

Non-CDL setups have to stay under 26,001 lbs combined, so we only book what your truck and trailer can legally carry.

  • Partials and expedited freight

We look for time-sensitive and partial loads, where hotshots tend to earn their best rates.

  • Securement details up front

We confirm whether a load needs straps, chains or tarps before you accept it.

  • Broker setup and rate cons

We complete carrier packets and check every rate confirmation before you roll.

  • Invoicing

We invoice the broker or your factoring company as soon as you deliver.

Good to know

A non-CDL hotshot keeps the combined weight rating of the truck and trailer under 26,001 lbs. That limits payload, but you can run without a commercial license.

A CDL hotshot can carry more weight and usually earns more per mile. Either way, hauling freight for hire across state lines takes a USDOT number, operating authority and insurance.

Hotshot dispatch questions

What's the difference between CDL and non-CDL hotshot?

Non-CDL hotshots keep the truck and trailer's combined weight rating under 26,001 lbs, so the driver doesn't need a CDL but can carry less freight. CDL hotshots haul heavier loads, typically 12,000–20,000 lbs, and earn more per mile.

How much does a hotshot make per week?

Non-CDL hotshots we dispatch typically gross $6,000–$7,000 a week and CDL hotshots $7,000–$9,000, depending on the market and how often you run.

What does hotshot dispatch cost?

Non-CDL hotshots pay 7% of weekly gross, or 6% with two or more trucks. CDL hotshots pay 6%, or 5% with two or more. Either can choose a flat $250 per week.
